Sven-Goran Eriksson reveals his Manchester City regret

Former Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed that he wanted to stay at Etihad and regrets not being in the Premier League for longer. The ex-England boss took charge of City exactly a year after he left his role with the Three Lions. "If you talk about regrets, of course, it is. I would have liked to have stayed for longer in the Premier League as at that time and today, the Premier League is the biggest and best league in the world," he told Sky Sports Football. "There is no competition, they are the best and most important. That would have been a dream, to stay in the club where I was for a couple of years more. "Who knows what would have happened with Manchester City because less than a year after I left, the new owners came in and life changed totally for City." Source: MEN
