Nelson Semedo could solve three transfer problems for Man City

Manchester City are close to agreeing on a deal worth €45m for Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo that would see fellow Portuguese international Joao Cancelo move the other way, according to Sport. Cancelo's transfer to City has not really worked out this season, with Pep Guardiola regularly wanting more from him. It might be best for both parties to part ways, and in Semedo, City would get a near-perfect replacement. Semedo is perhaps more likely to adapt to Guardiola's demands, having played at Barcelona for three years under a system that is closer to Guardiola's. Another problem that Semedo would solve is the Benjamin Mendy difficulty. Mendy's injury problems could force City to search for a new, more reliable left-back this summer. Finally, there is the likelihood that clubs will be more reluctant to lose players in what is likely to be a shorter, more unpredictable transfer market. Source: MEN Join us on Telegram!
