"Something can happen" - Fabrizio Romano drops claim on 'big' transfer opportunity for Arsenal

Fabrizio Romano refused to rule out Christian Eriksen's possible move to Arsenal. The Italian journalist has been speaking on a recent edition of the Chronicles of a Gooner podcast about all transfer news regarding Arsenal. According to Tuttosport, the Dane looks set to leave Inter after just one year in Serie A and has been linked with a move to the Gunners despite making over 300 appearances for Spurs. However, Romano doesn’t think that a move for Eriksen to Arsenal can be ruled out given the current situation. He said: “For Christian Eriksen, with Inter it’s a total game over; he’s not happy with [Antonio] Conte, Conte is not happy with him; Inter want to sell him or they are also open for a loan. That’s why I say never say never – because when you have this kind of quality player on the market, available on loan, it’s really something interesting for many clubs. “If you are Arsenal, or Manchester United or Tottenham, signing him is a big opportunity. In a transfer window where everything is complicated, signing Eriksen is so easy. So, I say pay attention to Eriksen because something can happen. The player would love to be back in the Premier League.”
