Solskjaer considers Maguire in the role of the new Manchester United captain

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has announced he has intentions to make Harry Maguire the club's future captain. The centre-back moved United from Leicester for £80million deal at the end of the summer transfer window and he has already hugely impressed Solskjaer and the United camp following his arrival. Now, as the current captain Ashley Young is close to leaving Old Trafford, Solskjaer will be looking for a new candidate to that role. The Red Devils boss claims Maguire has all the skills needed to be a team captain. Being asked if Maguire has the character to lead the side, Solskjaer told Sky Sports: “Maguire a leader? He does, he's already been in my head as a future captain. On the pitch, he's a leader. Off the pitch he's a top professional, he's vocal. I'm very pleased with the money we spent on him. He's one looking like we can give the band too, yes.”
