Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger is considering leaving the club, as he wants more playing time before Euro – 2021, Sky Sports reports.
The 27-year-old German international has been left out of the Chelsea squad for Sunday’s match against Liverpool. Rudiger also missed the first match-day, when Blues beat Brighton at Amex Stadium.
“We have five centre halves at the club so I can’t pick three on the bench so that is the way it is,” Lampard explained his decision.
Rudiger joined Chelsea in 2017. He has recorded 115 appearances for the West London side.
Meanwhile, Blues have agreed the move for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
