Seven players who could join Manchester United this summer

Manchester United manager is ready to Part Company with up to eight players to land the stars he wants. Solskjaer was given the Manchester United manager's job on a permanent basis just last week and is already looking to put his stamp on the Old Trafford club - and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is on board. The Norwegian has drawn up a seven-man wish list as he looks to rebuild his team when the summer transfer window opens. The Red Devils have three in, three out policy. Nevertheless, it set to be jettisoned, as Solskjaer will make sweeping changes even if he can claim a Champions League place after Tuesday’s defeat at Wolves left United adrift of the top four. Ed Woodward is likely to require a budget well in excess of £200m to achieve their ambitions. Here are seven players who could join Old Trafford club this summer. Jadon Sancho The Red Devils made Borussia Dortmund teenager Jadon Sancho their main target for the summer. Solskjaer wants to improve the speed and youth available to him in attack and would add Sancho to make a front three of Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. Sancho is expected to cost £100 million, which is within the budget of United but does raise a number of obstacles and worries still to be solved at the club. Kalidou Koulibaly The Senegal international has established himself as one of Europe’s elite central defenders over the past two seasons. He is now eyeing a big-money move away from Napoli, with his brother taking control of the player’s representation as he seeks a life-changing contract. A bid of around £100m has been stated by the Independent to be enough to prise the defender away from the San Paolo Stadium. Though the asking price may cause the Red Devils to baulk, his ability cannot be questioned. Callum Hudson-Odoi Manchester United wants Hudson Odoi. Chelsea have less security over him as he has just one year remaining on contract but Chelsea still plan to reassure him he will feature more regularly and are reluctant to allow him to join Premier League rivals. Other Suitors for the England international are Bayern Munich. The risk for Chelsea is he could go abroad for relatively low compensation next year while United could be asked to pay up to £20m at a tribunal here. Declan Rice Rice has impressed in his breakout season both domestically and on the international age. His performances have led to Manchester United keep tabs on the midfielder. Declan Rice has insisted that he is “happy” at West Ham and is not focusing on transfer rumours linking him to Manchester United. According to Transfermarkt, Rice is valued at around £13.5m. Aaron Wan-Bissaka Manchester United are in desperate need of bringing in reinforcements in defence and Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the other player on their transfer wish list. Manchester United are reported to be considering a £35m bid for the right-back, with Solskjaer, thought to see the 21-year-old as his long-term solution in the position. The England youth international has been a rock on the right side of the Palace back four all season, starting all but three Premier League matches in his breakthrough season, and earning himself universal praise for his tackling and composure. Bruno Fernandes United are considering a summer move for Sporting Lisbon’s goal-scoring midfielder. Solskjaer has advised Woodward that at least one high-class addition is needed in midfield. The 24-year-old’s 24 goals and 14 assists this season have caught United’s attention. Sporting Lisbon could be keen to cash in on their captain as they face financial uncertainty, and he is reported to have a release clause of £90m. Raphael Varane Manchester United have opened talks with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane over a £100million move to Old Trafford. The Frenchman is likely to cost in excess of £100m – a club record fee that would surpass the £89m paid for Paul Pogba. Despite publicly dismissing interest in Varane, Madrid are said to be open to selling the defender and have not rejected the enquiries for him. Varane, 25, has made 268 appearances and won four Champions League titles since joining the club from Lens in 2011.
