Sam Allardyce has praised Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin and insisted that England boss Gareth Southgate has to look at drafting him into the senior international squad.
The 22-year-old is enjoying a quite impressive season so far at Goodison Park and has become a mainstay in the starting XI.
He has netted four times in his last five Premier League games and now has 14 goals in 30 games across all competition this term.

Calvert-Lewin represented England at Under-21 and Under-20 age level, but is yet to earn a senior call-up for the Three Lions.
As Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford are injured for England’s March fixtures, it will be intriguing to see if the goalscoring improvement of Everton’s Calvert-Lewin will see him drafted into the squad.
In an interview with talkSport, former Toffees boss has also highlighted the main area the striker has improved.
“I think Gareth has to get his boys to go and watch him. I’ve said many a time the only thing missing in Dominic’s armour was goals, and those goals are coming in on a regular basis,” said Allardyce.
“Certainly needs to be looked at [by England]. If Harry Kane is struggling and Marcus Rashford, he should definitely come into the picture based on his experience in the Premier League, his age and his quality.
“He’s always had the quality he’s just been missing the goalscoring touch and that goalscoring touch is looking pretty good at the moment.”
