Virgil van Dijk sends strong Mohamed Salah message after West Ham win

Virgil van Dijk paid tribute to Mohamed Salah after Liverpool picked up another win at the Premier League - 3-2 over West Ham United at Anfield on Monday night. Salah netted in the second half to cancel out Pablo Fornals goal before Sadio Mane grabbed the winner to take the Reds to within 12 points of a first Premier League title. The 68th-minute strike from Salah was his 19th of the campaign in all competitions, leaving him one short of becoming the first Liverpool player since Michael Owen in 2003 to bag 20 in three successive seasons. It's now 15 for the Premier League campaign for Salah and Van Dijk highlighted his importance to the Anfield cause as the Reds made it 26 wins from 27 with their latest triumph. Van Dijk said: "I think he has shown over the seasons he has been here that he is a fantastic player and the numbers speak for themselves. "We are very happy with him and that is the most important thing for him as well. "He is a very important member of our squad, scoring-wise but also the defending, it is a big part of our game as well so we are just very happy and let’s keep it going." Source- Liverpool Echo
