Sadio Mane reveals what Jurgen Klopp does that is "really rare" in managers

Photo/ Etsuo Hara/Getty Images  Sadio Mane has listed the characteristics he most admires about Jurgen Klopp following his most successful season yet at Anfield. Mane was a key player for Liverpool during the whole 2018/19 season in all competitions. The player was under the shadow of his teammate Mohamed Salah last year. Nevertheless, this year he accepted the chance to take the centre stage at the club. Mane scored 26 goals and created 5 assists in his 50 games for Liverpool. Moreover, in the Premier League, he scored 22 goals and won the Premier League Golden Shoe alongside Mohamed Salah and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The Senegalese international lift the Champions League trophy with the Reds and there are real chances for him to end the drought and become the first African player to win the award after 1995 when George Weah won the Ballon d’Or. Mane said: "He’s a very special manager. He has a lot of qualities and distinctive characteristics, but what really struck me is that he’s a really, really nice guy outside of football. His human side touched me, and that’s really rare to find someone like that, especially in football. He’s a coach who loves his players, he’s there for them. At the same time, he gives them responsibilities. We, the players, are ready to do anything for him! We give everything on the pitch for him, whether it’s in training or in a game, we give our all. He’s a manager who makes you want to go to war.”
