Rhian Brewster makes Jurgen Klopp declaration as Liverpool welcome 'different player'

Rhian Brewster has revealed that he has returned to Liverpool a different player as he scored a double in the Reds pre-season friendly game against RB Salzburg. Brewster came off the bench in the 63rd minute as he replaced Sadio Mane. After coming off he scored two goals and helped the Reds to draw 2-2 against the Austrian side. “You want to make the most of every opportunity because you never know when it’s going to be your last game," said Brewster. “It was good to come on and score two, but it’s about working hard and trying to impress. “For me it’s not about the goals at the moment. It’s about working hard and running for the team. That’s what I’m trying to do. “Every game I get, I’m going to work hard and try my best. You have to try to impress the manager, and I’m trying to do that and work hard for the team. The goals are a bonus.” Brewster spent the previous half-season on loan at Swansea. He scored 11 goals in 22 games for the Championship side. “I felt like a different player when I came back for pre-season,” said Brewster, speaking to liverpoolfc.com. “It’s nice playing under-23s football, but to get those first-team games under your belt is a lot different. “It’s harder, more physical, and mentally it is game after game and in your head you have to keep on going, even if you are tired. “It has helped me quite a lot, playing a lot of games and it being men’s football. It’s a fight. Playing in the Championship, you have to fight for every single result and it has helped me in that regard to fight for everything. “To score there as well was good. Everyone says I am a good finisher, but for me personally it’s about working hard for the team." source - DailyStar Join us on Telegram
