REVEALED: Manchester United deal for Real Madrid ace  

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed he was set to sign Toni Kroos before he was sacked. Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor was sacked just nine months into the job with then Premier League champions sitting seventh in the table. Moyes has claimed a deal was agreed with Bayern Munich, however, it collapsed and Kroos joined Real Madrid instead.

“During the season I had met Toni Kroos," Moyed told beIN Sports. "And he agreed that he would come to Manchester United before he went to Real Madrid. “But somewhere in there, I lost my job and Toni chose to go elsewhere.”
