Reports: Canelo - Saunders to be pushed from May 2?
Saul Alvarez vs Billie Joe Saunders could be pushed from May 2 amid the coronavirus outbreak in the world, Boxingscene reports.
The organizers of the fight were planning to make an official announcement this week and hold a press-conference on March 17. But no announcement is made till now by either Golden Boy Promotions or Matchroom Boxing.
It is supposed that the fight for WBO middleweight belt could be pushed from May 2. There is not an official announcement for new dates.
Several fights all over the world are already cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Earlier, Top Rank has postponed the fights between Shakur Stevenson and Miguel Marriaga and Michael Conlan vs Belmar Preciado, both scheduled for March 19.
