Tottenham make first bid to sign Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar

Tottenham have made their first offer for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar, according to a report in Sports Media Set. Spurs have been linked with the move for Slovak professional for the summer transfer window, with Jose Mourinho eager to improve the squad, bringing new defensive option. And the report claims, the Lilywhites have already made an initial bid of £32 million for the 25-year-old. The offer is likely to be rejected by the Serie A side as they have set higher asking price for their player. However, Daniel Levy and Inter's board will continue the negotiations over the transfer fee in the coming days. The player himself would like to work with the Portuguese boss. “When some coach like Jose says that he is looking for a player like me or somebody else, it’s always nice. Jose is one of the most famous, best, greatest coaches in the world,” the defender told ESPN in 2018. Skriniar could face competition with the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez for a first-team place should he join Jose Mourinho's squad.
