The reason why Manchester United haven’t extended De Gea’s contract

David De Gea, who has been named United’s Player of the Year in last four seasons, is out of contract at the end of season and United are yet to trigger a 12-month extension clause. United opened negotiations with his representatives at the start of the year but Red Devils' poor start to the season forced De Gea re-thinking his future at the Theatre of Dreams.
