The remarkable trend that can put Liverpool back on top in the Premier League

Liverpool has been having a quite good start to the season as they are still unbeaten in the league and with 27 points are 3rd. Tomorrow they are preparing to host Fulham, who unlike the hosts, are at the last place of the table with just 5 points. As Liverpool beat Cardiff City last month, that means the Reds are now unbeaten in 22 home games against newly-promoted clubs (per LiverpoolEcho) . During that spell, they have won 17 and drawn only five – against Norwich City in 2015-16, Leicester City the previous campaign, West Ham United in 2012-13, and Norwich and Swansea City the season before that. The last promoted team to win at Anfield was Blackpool in October 2010, Liverpool's final game under the stewardship of Tom Hicks and George Gillett. Fulham was one of the 3 clubs that has been promoted to the Premier League in 2018.
