Real Madrid star accepts four months in prison

Real Madrid star Marcelo accepts four-month suspended prison sentence and agrees to pay £1.1million over unpaid taxes. The Real defender has agreed on a deal with authorities in Spain that will see him hit with a suspended four-month jail term for failing to pay £1m in taxes in 2013. The Brazilian star will avoid having to serve any time in prison under regulations in the country which means anyone with a sentence under two years can have it suspended if they pay a fine. Marcelo joins a growing list of football superstars to have been hit by the crackdown in Spain.
