Real Madrid left-back Marcelo asks to leave as he could join Arsenal

Arsenal are in the race to sign Real Madrid Brazilian left-back Marcelo. The 31-year-old has spent 13 season at Madrid, winning four La Liga titles and the Champions League. His place in Zinedine Zidane’s side is now under threat after Madrid completed the signing of left-back Ferland Mendy in a £47 million. According to Sport, Marcelo wants to leave Madrid this summer and his next destination could become Premier League side’s Arsenal. Unai Emery is looking to strengthen his defensive options ahead of the new season and are also in talks with Celtic over a deal for their left-back Kieran Tierney.
