Real Madrid will face Arsenal in International Champions Cup campaign On July 24.
Los Blancos star Gareth Bale refused to play for his side in a friendly against Bayern Munich and now his involvement in the upcoming match against Arsenal is in doubt.
Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has accused Bale of refusing to play against Bayern Munich but the he tried to build bridges with the player by claiming he will put him back in the squad.
“I have not disrespected anyone and much less a player (Bale),” Zidane said. “The club is dealing with his departure. Period.
“The other day Gareth didn’t play because he didn’t want to. He said the club was trying to negotiate his departure he and didn’t want to play because of that.
“So far, Bale hasn’t asked not to play tomorrow.
“Bale’s situation is known by everyone and will not change. The club is going to do what they have to do with him.
“I have to respect the players. Bale is with us and will do the same as the others.”
The International Champions Cup clash between Real Madrid and Arsenal will be played at the FedEx Field, on Tuesday, 23 July 2019.
