How PSG convinced Kylian Mbappe to snub Real Madrid and Manchester United

Kylian Mbappe initially joined PSG on loan from Monaco before completing a £160m permanent deal last summer. Before making his deal permanent at PSG, the star had nearly joined Real Madrid, while Premier League side Manchester United were also interested in him. PSG chief Luis Ferrer has opened up on the pursuit of Mbappe and the charm offensive launched by the French giants. (via Mirror) "We had to do twice the work of Real Madrid. We went to his house, we spoke to his relatives, we showed them the project," he told Argentine outlet Infobae. "We had to do a lot of things to show them that we truly wanted him, that we were going to make him play, that he was important for us. “Luckily Kylian believed us and we could close it [the deal]. When Zidane and Real Madrid called him, who were coming from winning two Champions Leagues at that time, it was difficult to think that we were going to convince him. We did everything one could imagine to convince him and his family. "We had to convince him it was not the time to leave the country. That was one of the points. Our key was telling him ‘stay in France, show it here, and after you’ll have time to try an experience abroad.” Although, the rising star of French football is still being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
