Premier League title is “barometer of success” for Liverpool, says chief executive Moore

Liverpool chief executive Peter Moore says a long-overdue Premier League title alongside Champions League cup would become “barometer of success” for the club. Last season the Reds managed to win their sixth European Cup, while ended as runner-ups in the Premier League table, conceding just one point to the champions Manchester City. Peter Moore told the Press Association about Liverpool’s desirable title: "I think that is what our fans want," said Moore.  "We were so close last year, 97 points, and in any other year, we would have won it. But the club goes on and I think that (a league title), for many of our fans, would sit alongside our Champions League triumph as the barometer of success." It seems that Jurgen Klopp’s side are close to winning the Premier League as well title this season, as they lead the table with 24 points, having won all the Premier League fixtures so far.
