Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for Barcelona loanee Philippe Coutinho but they will face huge competition from Premier League rivals. Former Liverpool star joined Bayern Munich on loan terms last summer but he failed to make an impact for the Bundesliga side and will reportedly return to Barcelona. Manchester United, have now also enquired about Coutinho’s availability. If Barcelona are willing to loan the player out for next season, with Coutinho having played on loan for Bayern Munich this season, it could come down to which of Chelsea or Manchester United are playing Champions League football next season.
