Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hits milestone by becoming the fastest Arsenal player

Arsenal player Pierre-Eerick Aubameyang has become the fastest Arsenal player to reach 25 Premier League goals in converting his 66^th-minute penalty in 2-1 win against Cardiff City. The Gabon international has shown his remarkable form since his £56million from Borussia Dortmund a year ago.

Arsenal have had some high-profile strikers in seasons gone by but none can get close to the profligacy with which Aubameyang has shown so far. Club legend Thierry Henry is the closest challenger to Aubameyang as he hit 25 league goals after 42 games.

In a tussle with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, the former Dortmund striker is a strong favourite to finish the season with the Premier League golden boot.
