Paul Pogba breaks silence following France's elimination from EURO 2020

  France suffered a defeat to Switzerland on penalties in the EURO 2020 quarter-finals as the game ended in a 3-3 draw. Switzerland opened the score at the 15th minute as Haris Seferovic scored. In the second half, Switzerland were given a chance to double their lead, however, Ricardo Rodriguez missed the penalty. Minutes later Karim Benzema formed a double in just 2 minutes. After Benzema's double, Paul Pogba also got his name on the scoresheet. However, towards the end of the game Seferovic and Mario Gavranovic got their names on the scoresheet and made the score 3-3. After the extra time, the game was decided on penalties. France lost on penalties with a 5-4 score as Kylian Mbappe didn't score. Following the game, Pogba took to Instagram and wrote: "Sometimes football can be cruel… cruel and also beautiful. Yesterday, the game brought us sadness but happiness to our opponents. That’s the beauty of football. Of course we all wished that we could have had a positive result. "Thank you so much to all of our fans across the globe. It was beautiful to see you, to hear you, and to celebrate with you. You gave us hope and joy throughout all of our games. We will keep our heads up and we will come back stronger. "Finally, I want to wish congratulations to Switzerland."
