Ole Gunnar Solskjaer accepts the prospect of signing Jadon Sancho and Declan Rice could be out of Manchester United’s reach this summer.
Solskjaer s looking to recruit a new central defender and is keen on signing both Ajax star Matthijs de Light and Borussia Dortmund player Jadon Sancho. But United face strong competition from Barcelona, meanwhile Borussia Dortmund want the 19-year-old to stay at least another season.
Rice is also wanted by United but the 20-year-old signed a new long-term contract with West Ham in December so his move to Old Trafford could be almost impossible.
According to the Evening Standard, Solskjaer now ‘reluctantly accepts’ that United will be unable to bring Sancho or Rice to Old Trafford this summer.
