"Of course": Boost for Tottenham as Kane made his feelings clear on £10m target

Tottenham Hotspur want to bring in a replacement for Harry Kane. They have been linked to relegated Bournemouth star Callum Wilson. As reported by The Sun over the weekend, Tottenham are readying a £10 million move for the player with the Cherries likely to sell him on to reduce their wage bill following relegation. Sky Sports has now placed Tottenham among other Premier League teams when it comes to chasing the England international. Back in March 2019, with Wilson in the England squad, Kane spoke to the Bournemouth Daily Echo about the striker and insisted that the duo could play together in a front two if Gareth Southgate required it. “Yes, of course. It’s up to the manager but I feel I can play alongside any player,” Kane told the Daily Echo. “Callum came in and did great (in the last international break). He played the first game against the United States and scored and played really well. He has been doing great in the Premier League this season and over the past couple of seasons.” It would seem that the idea in signing Wilson would be for him to act as a back-up in case of injury and to ensure Kane gets sufficient rest throughout a long campaign.
