Neville Southall has insisted that he doesn't believe Everton is the right place for Theo Walcott, as he struggles to show his best form at Goodison Park.
The 30-year-old winger joined the Toffees in the January of 2018 for £20million and since then the three-time FA Cup winner has not enjoyed as much as success on Merseyside. Indeed, Walcott has scored just 10 goals in 77 games – 27 of which have been from the bench. He has a contract at Everton until 2021.
Everton legend Southall does not believe that his old side is the right club for Walcott and has written about that in his
iNews column:
“Players are human beings and you have to be happy where you play. I see some players today that don’t look happy, sometimes you’re just not the right person for that club. That’s how I feel when I look at Theo Walcott at Everton."
