NBA insider: “Kevin Durant and LeBron James would be unbeatable together”

Kevin Durant and LeBron James would be unbeatable together if the Golden State Warriors star joins the Lakers next summer, according to NBA insider Chris Broussard. He told Skip and Shannon: Undisputed: “We know the formula for LeBron to win a championship. It’s to have a second superstar who can go get his own stuff. Kyrie and Dwayne Wade and some role-playing shooters around him. “So, if Kevin Durant goes there, it should be a wrap. I don’t think Golden State is done if Durant leaves and that’s the interesting thing. I think they’ll be incredibly motivated, if Durant leaves, to get back to show that 73-win team. You know they feel they should have won two [consecutive] rings [before Durant]. “That team did not win 73 just because they had superior talent. It was their chemistry, the way they played, their shooting ability, their strength in numbers, depth, all that. I don’t think they would be done. If Durant goes to the Lakers I think he and LeBron would be unbeatable. If he goes somewhere else, let’s say he goes to the Clippers, I think the Clippers, the Lakers and the Warriors - there would be several elite teams that can win it. Unless the Lakers get that second guy, they’re not winning a championship.”
