Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent a message to Giovanni Van Bronckhorst following his appointment as Rangers coach.
Van Bronckhorst was appointed as Rangers manager on Thursday. The Gers said goodbye to Steven Gerrard a week ago after he was announced as Aston Villa coach.
"Well, it obviously was a surprise. First of all, as a Rangers fan, I must say thank you so much to Stevie [Gerrard] and the coaching staff for what they did for the club because they turned the club around in such a difficult moment. To manage to win the league in the way they did obviously was a big boost. Football is like that, people want to move, people have other expectations. Now I just wish the best to Giovanni and the club and see what happens," said Arteta in a pre-match press conference.
Arteta was a Rangers player from 2002 to 2004.
