Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly asked the club to buy one of Isco or Houssem Aouar in January.
Aouar has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for around six months and Edu had two bids rejected by Lyon during the summer window.
However, Isco is now another option and according to
Defensa Central, Arteta has requested either the French star or the Real Madrid wizard, who has won four Champions League titles in the Spanish capital.
The report claims that Arsenal aren’t able to afford both but that they and other Premier League sides would be willing to meet Isco’s salary demands of £103,000 per week.
The Gunners are enduring a miserable Premier League season and have only scored 11 goals in 13 games, leaving them 15th in the table and five points ahead of Burnley – who have two games in hand – in 18th.
