New Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has talked with the media about his relationship with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The new book of the Milwaukee Bucks' superstar portrays Kidd as someone who Giannis didn’t like, while was in charge of the Bucks.
And the Mavs coach had quite the perfect response to those allegations.
“I’m waiting for Giannis for when he writes it,” Kidd said, via The Forth Worth Star-Telegram.
“I’m aware of [the book], but if it’s not from Giannis I won’t pay attention to it.
“There are no feelings about it because it was not Giannis’ book. The cool thing is my relationship with Giannis goes beyond basketball.
“I talked to him a couple of hours after his son was born. Cool little name, ‘Maverick.’
“See, you guys didn’t know that. That’s how close we are.”
Kidd coached Milwaukee from 2014 to midway through the 2017-18 campaign, as he was Antetokounmpo’s second NBA coach.
