Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri admits they would not be able to find someone who can fully replace Eden Hazard if he leaves in the summer transfer window.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and reports even suggested that he agreed on a six-year deal. For Sarri, it would be a “disaster”.
"I hope that it is not true (and he's leaving)," the Italian told
BBC Radio Five Live after the game. "Every coach wants to keep a player like him.
"It's a disaster when a player like Eden decides to change team. It's very difficult to find another player at the same level because in the world there are only two or three players at the same level. We have to try something different [if he leaves], not find another Hazard. At this moment he is unique."
Hazard, himself, denied all rumours that he already agreed on a deal with the La Liga giants.
“They are wrong,” said the 28-year-old speaking to Sky Sports. “For now I am just focusing on Chelsea until the end of the season. I want to finish top four and Europa League, we still have a lot to do and then we will see.
“We are in good momentum. We have won three in a row. For the mentality, it is good to keep going. Top four and the Europa League is our target so we need to do well in both but we can do it.”
Chelsea beat West Ham United 2-0 and the Belgium international scored two goals and one of them was an incredible
solo goal. Next time the Blues will be in action on Thursday, April 11 in the Europa League quarterfinal clash against Slavia Praha.
