Mattia Binotto makes honest Ferrari admission

Ferrari F1 team boss Mattia Binotto thinks, the season at his team is not going as they had hoped. According to him, it will also take some time before the team can solve all the problems. While Ferrari's car was the fastest car on the track for a time in 2019, the team will have difficulty reaching Q3 in 2020 during qualifying. With the current backlog that the team has and compared to the top teams, Ferrari will not be back at the front soon. "It will take a long time. The problems with the technical concept of the SF1000 can't be solved within a few weeks", the team boss tells Motorsport-Total.com. "We must be patient. I've said before that we're behind in every area. And if you have to improve in every area, you can't do that with a simple trick or one update. It's gonna take time. How long? I can't answer that yet," continues the Italian. Binotto reveals the team had expected some problems before the season. "I think we always saw during the winter test in Barcelona that we're not fast enough. But we didn't expect such a difficult situation. It's worse than we expected, there's nothing more to say about it", concludes the team boss. Source: GPblog
