Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood reacts to Robin van Persie comparisons

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has opened up about the comparison between himself and former striker Robin van Persie and said he hopes to one day be like him. The 18-year-old forward has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Old Trafford, netting 10 times in all competitions and his style of play has been compared to that of former United striker Van Persie, who helped the Red Devils win their 20th league title in 2013. Van Persie has already joked that the youngster is trying to copy him and now the 18-year-old has said he wants to emulate the Dutchman. Speaking to the Premier League about the comparison, Greenwood said: "I like taking people on, doing skills . Obviously people think that I'm similar to Van Perise, so I want to be like him one day." Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also talked about the similarity between the two, and when asked about that the Red Devils boss responded: "Definitely. He (Greenwood) is very composed with his finishing.
