Gary Neville says Manchester United will never win the Premier League with Lindelof-Maguire partnership

Gary Neville has revealed Manchester United will never win the Premier League with the centre-back partnership of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire. The Red Devils have started the new 2020/21 campaign with a shocking 3 - 1 loss to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have been heavily linked with the move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho for the summer transfer window. However, Neville thinks United should go for a new centre-back, otherwise they will not be able to fight for the Premier League title. Former Red Devils captain told Sky Sports: "We can talk about Sancho all we like but until United get a centre back who can run and defend one-on-ones they are never going to win the league. "They are never going to win the Premier League with that centre back pairing. They have to get a mobile, dominant centre half in alongside either Lindelof or Maguire. "Over the years, the best centre back partnerships have always had that really quick one who has lightning pace to get across and snuff out the danger. Lindelof and Maguire just don't have that." United will be on action against Luton Town in the League Cup on Tuesday before facing their next Premier League rivals, Brighton, on Saturday.
