Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Eric Bailly is likely to play in the team squad for their weekend trip to Liverpool.
Bailly had to miss the Red Devils' games for around 6 months due to a knee injury he picked up during the friendly win over Tottenham in late July. He returned to the game for Under-23s clash against Newcastle on Friday.
United are going to face Wolves in their FA Cup 3rd round on Wednesday, later travelling to Anfield for Sunday's clash.
Speaking on the Bailly's come back for the weekend, Solskjaer said:
"He's very close, he might be back for the weekend. We've got a game arranged today with the reserves, so he'll play that one. Hopefully he'll get 90 minutes, because he didn't feel any after-effects from the game on Friday so he might be ready for Liverpool."
The club boss has confirmed Ashley Young would not play in the behind-closed-doors reserves match against Sheffield on Wednesday. Young has missed the last two matches of the Red Devils and is preparing for his move to Inter.
During the last 10 months United have played at Molineux 4 times, both losing and drawing twice. Wolves will travel to Old Trafford in the Premier League in February, and Solskjaer joked they would have a draw result in the Europa League knockout stage.
"We've played them so many times now. So we're going to be facing a team that know more or less everything about us, and we know more or less everything about them. We've got them in a couple of weeks again in the league. We played a decent first half the last time we played them, the second-half was a bit disappointing, but at home we want to make sure we go through, I'm sure Nuno [Spirito Santo] wants to go through as well. This tournament is one we dream about winning when we are young, I've loved my time in finals and lifting trophies so we want to go through," United manager said.
