Manchester United in advanced talks over €110m midfield duo

Manchester United are reported to have leading the race for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, with the club already said to be in talks over a summer transfer. The Red Devils are going to improve their midfield, bringing new players to Old Trafford amid Paul Pogba's exit possibility in the summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have already signed Bruno Fernandes during the January transfer window, and now the club is keen on to strengthen the midfield with more playing options. Kroos has been targeted by United back in the days of David Moyes, however, the move didn't materialize. The Germany international has spent six years with Catalan giants and it is said he is ready to leave the La Liga side, though his contract expires in 2023. Kroos will pick between a move to United, PSG and former club Bayern Munich, according to Spanish publication Diario Madridista. Real Madrid are ready to let the 30-year-old quit for a fee of of around €60million. It is also claimed that Zinedine Zidane's side will sign Ajax star Donny van de Beek, who is said to be on United's with-list as his replacement. The Red Devils have also been linked with the move of Borussia Monchengladbach's Denis Zakaria this summer, according to Sky in Germany.
