Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer defends Andreas Pereira

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Adreas Pereira "is improving all the time" amid the criticism towards his performance. Solksjaer has previously played Pereira on the right wing. However, the long-term absence of Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic left the Red Devils with a shortage of central midfield. As Marauane Fellaini and Ander Herrera left Old Trafford, the club boss decided to give Pereira a chance in spite of the young player's lack of experience. He told: "Andreas is improving all the time. He's a young boy working hard every single day to improve his game and he's played a few games this year. We found, more or less, his position; he's an attacking midfielder. Of course, when you lack your three more experienced ones with Nemanja, Paul and Scott, Andreas has to cover that role and he's doing a job for the team."
