Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund in official talks over Jadon Sancho fee and structure of payments

Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are officially in talks over Jadon Sancho transfer move. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his bosses are leading the race for the 20-year-old and they are growing increasingly confident that a deal will be agreed long before the new Premier League season starts. Sancho could be just what the Red Devils need to close the gap on their bitter rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, having finished third in the league after a final day win over Leicester. According to Sky Sports official contact between the two clubs has been made after the Europa League hopefuls cooled their interest in Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish. The ongoing discussions are said to revolve around transfer fee and structure of payments, with United feeling confident that personal terms will not prove to be a hurdle. The Bundesliga runners-up are holding out for £109m, which would be a club record for United surpassing the fee their paid Juventus for Paul Pogba back in 2016. But United are not willing to sanction that one-off spend given the current financial climate, and the initial fee could be as low as £90m with the rest coming in due course. The report adds that United are still looking at alternatives in case talks break down, with Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman a name on their long list. Source- Daily Star
