Manchester City's strongest lineup with all new signings and fully fit squad

Manchester City are set to face Arsenal on the resumption of the Premier League season, and they could have an almost fit squad. Only Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aleks Zinchenko are not in training or on international duty, but City are hopeful the three will be available soon. With the additions of Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres, City have plenty of options to pick from to create a 'strongest' XI from a squad of 22, plus a talented group of youngsters. With Ederson in goal, the central defensive problems seem to have been solved with the arrival of Dias and Ake. Record signing Dias, a right-footer, is surely going to be first choice alongside Laporte, with Ake a solid back-up option along with Eric Garcia and John Stones. At full-back, Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy are probably City's strongest options. Into midfield, and Guardiola can pick between Fernandinho, Rodri and Ilkay Gundogan to play the holding role. Fernandinho has the experience, but Rodri is the long-term option and played many of the bigger games last season. Kevin De Bruyne is arguably the first name on the teamsheet, with a choice of Gundogan, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden to partner him. If Guardiola wants experience, he'd choose Gundogan, and if he wants creativity Foden is arguably the man. For a good mix of both, Bernardo is probably the strongest option. Raheem Sterling takes the left-wing spot, with Ferran Torres showing what he can offer with some promising spells in his first few appearances. Riyad Mahrez, purely on the basis of his experience, probably is the stronger option on the right for now. And whenever Sergio Aguero is fit, he will always get the nod in the big games, but Gabriel Jesus is always improving and offers Guardiola another strong option.
