Manchester City want to sign Sergio Ramos on free transfer

Sergio Ramos is reportedly being linked with a move to Manchester City, and the Real Madrid defender’s agent has hit out at Los Blancos for letting his contract run down. The 34-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season and can now start negotiating with foreign clubs over a free transfer to go through in the summer. Plenty of clubs are reported to be keen on Ramos, with moves to Italy and MLS previously rumoured – but there is also Premier League interest in the 34-year-old defender. According to ESPN, Pep Guardiola is a fan of Ramos and is keen on bringing him to City ahead of the start of next season. The report claims Cityzens believe the legndary defender can still perform at the highest level despite him turning 35 in March, and he is considered an ‘interesting option to provide leadership and experience at the back’. Spanish giants still want to tie their captain down to a new contract, but they have left it late with the defender already free to talk to clubs over a summer move. Ramos has made 666 appearances for Los Blancos since joining from Sevilla in 2005, going on to win 22 honours with the LaLiga giants. Source- talkSPORT Join us on Telegram!
