Manchester City urged to listen to Kevin de Bruyne transfer bids due to two players

Kevin de Bruyne admitting he could be tempted to leave Manchester City could be used by the club to gauge interest in the midfielder. ESPN Pundit Gab Marcotti says City shouldn't worry about selling the star either this summer or next due to two players.  De Bruyne stunned City fans over the weekend as he admitted he might look for a move away from the Etihad. Marcotti believes City shouldn't view his quotes as being a negative thing, and should now see what the interest is in the Belgian. "A couple of things here, firstly you think 'wow, is he going to be disloyal to Man City when they're having these problems?'" Marcotti said regarding De Bruyne's comments. "I'm pretty sure we won't get a decision from CAS. I think it's increasingly unlikely we'll get a decision from CAS this summer. That mewns whenever we do get a decision that Man City could be banned, it'll be for the 2021/22 season - or later. "By that point, he'll be turning 30, at 30 years old with the kind of salary he's on, if I'm Manchester City I probably don't mind so much if someone comes and takes him off my hands. That's not because he's not a great player - he is. You're going to have a shortfall in Champions League revenue and a guy with two years remaining on his contract who missed most of last season through injury. "You have Phil Foden, you have Bernardo Silva, it's not the end of the world. I almost wonder if Man City have looked at it like 'we don't mind him saying this. It gets the message out and we find out what the interest in Kevin de Bruyne might be'." Source: Express
