Manchester City are reportedly ready to make their second signing after
reaching total agreement with Ferran Torres.
According to the
Telegraph Pep Guardiola's side will now step up their pursuit to sign Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.
The 25-year-old is expected to leave the Vitality Stadium after Bournemouth were relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the day. Chelsea have a £40m buy-back option and Frank Lampard has been tipped to make some improvements to his back-line this summer.
However, Guardiola is equally keen to bring in a top centre-back to become Aymeric Laporte's regular partner. Laporte is seen as the first-choice option, but he has struggled with a number of injury issues since his big-money move.
Ake has made 30 appearances for Bournemouth this season, even has scored and assisted twice.
