Manchester City make a final decision on Harry Maguire
According to what has been reported by The Sun, Manchester City will pull out from the race for signing Leicester City star Harry Maguire, as Premier League champions aren’t satisfied with the price tag put for England international.
City were one of the favourites to sign Maguire alongside with Manchester United, as Red Devils have come up with an offer of £70 m + Marcos Rojo, but got rejected.
Manchester City are looking for a center back, as Vincent Kompany has left the club, and Pep Guardiola has only 3 options, including Nico Otamendi, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.
Despite needing a defender, Maguire’s price tag, £85 m is too much for City and United remain the only candidate to sign Harry. Leicester City wants to beat a transfer record for star defender and break Virgil Van Dijk’s record set back in 2018.
