Manchester City fans send midfield selection message to Pep Guardiola ahead of Wolves clash

Manchester City fans want to see Rodri on the action for the club's Premier League clash against Wolves. The Blues' midfield has hugely struggled in defence since Aymeric Laporte's long-term injury along with John Stones' fitness issue, leaving Nicolas Otamendi alone in the role of senior centre-back. Though the Citizens boss Pep Guardiola decided to play Fernandinho in the midfield, it didn't turned out to be the possible solution of the problem. Ilkay Gundogan managed to plug the gap during both the previous season and now, however, the City fans want to see Rodri playing in the midfield. MEN Sport asked supporters: "Who should play in the holding midfield role when the Blues face Wolves on Friday?" 52.5 per cent of the fasn voted for Rodri, 26.3 per cent prefer to see Gundogan, 20.2 per cent want to see Fernandinho back to his natural position, while 0.9 per cent chose the option 'other.' City are going to face Wolves at Molineux Stadium tomorrow.
