Manchester City eyed Golden Boy nominee

Lazar Carevic, the Barcelona B goalkeeper, was on Manchester City’s radar before signing for the Catalan outfit from Montenegran side OFK Grbalj, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. The 19-year-old was snapped up by Barca last season after becoming Grbalj’s no.1 stopper at the age of 17. He kept 15 clean sheets in 30 games for the first-division side, conceding just 23 goals. Ajax and Bayern Munich, as well as City, were thought to be hunting his signature.
