Manchester City are close to completing the first signing of the summer transfer window. According to the Guardian, the Citizens are set to agree on a deal to sign Bournemouth star Nathan Ake.
Pep Guardiola is eager to rebuild his defence after unsuccessful Premier League season. Ake will become a key recruit for a fee in the region of £35m.
Aké has been strongly linked with Manchester United and Chelsea. He left the Blues to join Bournemouth for £20m in 2017 after a handful of first-team appearances.
The player's deal is set to expire in 2022. But there is a suggestion that he will leave the club when this season concludes.
