Manchester City expected to beat United and complete the first summer signing

Manchester City are close to completing the first signing of the summer transfer window. According to the Guardian, the Citizens are set to agree on a deal to sign Bournemouth star Nathan Ake. Pep Guardiola is eager to rebuild his defence after unsuccessful Premier League season. Ake will become a key recruit for a fee in the region of £35m. Aké has been strongly linked with Manchester United and Chelsea. He left the Blues to join Bournemouth for £20m in 2017 after a handful of first-team appearances. The player's deal is set to expire in 2022. But there is a suggestion that he will leave the club when this season concludes. Source: theguardian
