Manchester City expect to complete the signing of Jules Kounde that could speed up Eric Garcia transfer

Manchester City expect to complete the signing of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, according to sports journalist Nacho Jiménez. Citizens were reported to be interested in sigining 21-year-old defender, as per Estadio Deportivo. According to the report, Sevilla referred to Koundé’s release clause of €90m, unwilling to allow their player leave if the Premier League side aren’t met their asking price. Later, Sevilla Director of Footbal Monchi has confirmed that Sevilla have rejected the bid of €60m offered by the Citizens. However, Jiménez claims City are still interested in the player and expect to complete the transfer after the Super Cup final between Sevilla and Bayern Munich. It would speed up the move of Eric Garcia to Barcelona as the club were reluctant to let the player leave Etihad as soon they find a replacement.
