Luka Jovic to Arsenal move decision made after Karim Benzema Instagram post

Arsenal are interested in signing a striker with Alexandre Lacazette's future up in the air and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's situation unclear. Both Dusan Vlahovic and Luka Jovic have both been linked with a move to north London. However, efforts to sign Vlahovic didn't seem to work out. Jovic has reportedly not ruled out leaving Real Madrid this month and the Gunners are weighing up a move for his services, as recent events could make a transfer decision even easier. In Real Madrid's 2-2 draw with Elche at the weekend, they suffered a major injury scare when Karim Benzema limped off - to be replaced by Jovic - with a suspected hamstring injury. Should the Frenchman face an extended period on the sidelines, then that could convince Jovic to stay put as he would be in line to start more games in Benzema's absence. As Spanish publication AS reports, Benzema was observed by the club's medical staff and a physio at their Valdebebas training centre on Monday and there's a chance he will be fit for Los Blancos' next game.
