Liverpool should sign Dele Alli this summer with the 24-year-old out of favour at Tottenham at the moment, according to former Reds player Stan Collymore.
“That’s two Premier League games in a row now that Dele has been left of Tottenham’s squad,” the ex- Liverpool man wrote in his Daily Mirror column. “I hope beyond hope he doesn’t take the easy option and go to the competitive wasteland that is Ligue 1.
“Liverpool have had a knack of getting their recruitment bang on in recent years and you could argue that, with Thiago Alcantara’s arrival, their midfield doesn’t have room for another new signing. But I’m telling you, if Jurgen Klopp can get his talons into this kid, give him a shake, get rid of the happy-clappy juvenile and turn him into a hard-nosed midfielder, Liverpool could do much worse than Alli.”
