Liverpool remain in discussions with Nike over a new kit deal that would shatter the current Premier League record. The Reds agreed on a record-breaking deal with New Balance in 2015 with no expiration date. However, it has been revealed that Liverpool’s £45m a year shirt deal with the company is due to expire after the end of the upcoming campaign. According to ESPN sources, Nike are leading the battle to secure the Liverpool contract which is expected to exceed the value of Manchester United’s £750 million agreement with Adidas and become the biggest ever struck by a Premier League club.
